Auto companies announced their sales numbers for September 2022. Most of the companies recorded a rise in sales for the month. Here are the highlights:
Maruti Suzuki recorded total sales of 1.76 lakh units, up 104% year-on year. Tata Motors sold 2.43 lakh units, up 42% from the previous year.
Mahindra & Mahindra recorded its highest sales of 64,486 units, an increase of 129%.
Ashok Leyland posted a 84% rise in sales at 17,549 units. • Hero MotoCorp total sales stood at 5.19 lakh units, down 1.95% year-on year.
Bajaj Auto sold 3.95 lakh units, down 1.81%.
TVS Motors recorded a 9% rise in sales at 3.79 lakh units. • Eicher Motors sold 82,097 Royal Enfields, up 144.85%.

Nykaa : Nykaa announced a 5:1 bonus issue.

HDFC : The company’s loans assigned in July Sept quarter stood at Rs 9,145 crore, up from Rs 7,132 crore in the same period last year.

Tata Steel : Neelachal Ispat Nigam has commenced operations. Neelachal Ispat was acquired by the Tata Group for Rs 12,000 crore in a bidding process.

Britannia : The company has acquired a controlling stake in Kenya’s Kenafric Biscuits.

Vedanta : Aluminium production increased by 2% to 5,84,000 tonnes in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal.

KEC International : The company has received new orders worth Rs 1,407 crore.

Bank of Maharashtra : Deposits rose by 7.86% year-on-year to Rs 1.95 lakh cr in the July-Sept quarter.
